Last week we got great news that Tellan’s MRI was clear from any neurological issues. Yesterday, we went for a swallow test & at bedside they told us he was eating so well they didn’t think the test was necessary. Today the doctor’s office called to tell us all of his genetic testing came back normal. So as for a diagnosis Tellan has “hypotonia” (weak muscle tone). This is a secondary condition that is typically a result of neurological or genetic issues, but often the cause is unknown. And I am at peace with not knowing. As Ann Voskamp says, “We often don’t really want to know the why – we want to know that God is in those places with us.” So although this all “good news” – this isn’t why God is good. He is good because He is sovereign & faithful & there in all the broken places. Thank you Jesus for good news, but I praise You because you are Good.
